Prince George's County Man Fatally Shot In Apparent Targeted Attack Identified By Police

A Suitland man was found shot to death inside an apartment building on Friday evening, prompting a homicide investigation by Prince George’s County Police detectives.

Brian Speaks, 30, was pronounced dead at the scene after officers responded to reports of a shooting in the 3500 block of Parkway Terrace Drive at approximately 5:45 p.m. on Nov. 15, police said.

When officers arrived, they discovered Speaks suffering from gunshot wounds inside the building. Despite efforts to provide aid, he was declared deceased.

Detectives with the Homicide Unit are working to determine a motive and identify any suspects. Investigators believe the shooting was not random, police said.

Prince George’s County Police are offering a reward of up to $25,000 for information leading to an arrest and indictment in the case.
